On October 20 through 24, 2026, the Moscow Zoo will host the conference “Small Mammals in Zoo Collections: Husbandry Techniques (rodents, lagomorphs, edentates, bats, and insectivores)”. The conference will focus on various aspects of the small mammal management, breeding, welfare, and study, as well as on the issues of small mammal demonstration and collection planning at zoos. The conference will be an in person event. It is expected that presentations and discussions of participants will cover issues related to the work with small mammals and emerging challenges.
