Information Collections

For a quarter of a century, the Moscow Zoo has been publishing Information Collections of Zoological Collections. After the creation of the Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA), the publication is published under the auspices of this organization.

The collections include:

• Data on zoos, aquariums, breeding centers - members of EARAZA, as well as other zoological institutions in the region of Eastern Europe and North Asia;
• Lists of animals successfully breeding in collections;
• Information on conservation initiatives: Red Lists of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and provisions of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

The publication serves as an important tool for analyzing biodiversity, monitoring populations, and coordinating efforts to preserve rare species in the region.
