Information Collections

For a quarter of a century, the Moscow Zoo has been publishing compendiums of information on the collections of zoos and aquariums. After the creation of the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA), these publications are issued under the auspices of this organization.

The publications include:

• Data on EARAZA member zoos, aquariums, and breeding centers, as well as other zoological institutions of Eastern Europe and North Asia;
• Data on animal breeding;
• Information on conservation initiatives including Red Lists of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and provisions of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

The publication serves as an important tool for analyzing biodiversity, monitoring populations, and coordinating efforts to preserve rare species in the region.
